Lady Rebel Classic On Tap

LAS VEGAS - The fifth annual UNLV Lady Rebel Classic kicks off on Friday with eight teams, including three nationally ranked programs, competing at the Fertitta Tennis Complex over the weekend.

Squads from No. 47 Fresno State, No. 73 Boise State, UC Santa Barbara, Oklahoma State, Northern Arizona and Montana will take on the 37th-ranked host Lady Rebels in a bracket format culminating in Sunday's championship at noon on campus.

First through eighth place will be determined by playing four matches a day running concurrently at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and at 9 a.m. and noon on Sunday. Admission to all tournament matches is free. UNLV (4-2), which boasts a 4-0 mark at home this season, will open the tourney vs. NAU at 10 a.m. on Friday.

At last year's event, then-No. 15 Tulane downed then-48 UNLV 4-0 in the final.
