McCracklin's Coming Home

Feb. 6, 2006

LAS VEGAS - UNLV senior forward Sherry McCracklin was released from Ivinson Memorial Hospital this morning and is on her way back to Las Vegas. She had been in the hospital since Saturday afternoon after suffering a concussion near the end of the UNLV-Wyoming game in Laramie. McCracklin, who had 17 points in the 53-50 loss, was hurt after drawing a charge and hitting her head on the court as she fell.

Lady Rebel head coach Regina Miller and women's basketball trainer Ann Dovenmuehler both stayed with McCracklin in Laramie, and all three took a flight out of Denver back to Las Vegas, scheduled to arrive this afternoon. It is unknown at this time when McCracklin would be able to return to action.
