LAS VEGAS - UNLV baseball will not play a double-header with Cal on Saturday, Rebel head coach Buddy Gouldsmith announced Friday morning.
The two teams were talking about playing two games on Saturday afternoon and the Rebels needed to make up a game after having a game against Nevada, Reno canceled due to poor weather. But the Rebels and the Golden Bears decided to just play the three games instead of four games in three days.
UNLV will wrap up its 12-game homestand this weekend against Cal with the first game of the series starting Friday night, with the first pitch of the series scheduled for 6:30 p.m. (PST) at Earl E. Wilson Stadium. Saturday's game will start at the regular time of 2:00 p.m. and Sunday's start time is 1:00 p.m.
