LAST TIME OUT UNLV swept The Citadel last weekend at home, the first time this season that the Rebels have swept a three-game series from an opponent. In the opener the Rebels posted 11 runs in the opening inning and never looked back, beating The Citadel 22-6 on Friday night. UNLV baseball got out of the gate quickly once again, scoring five first-inning runs on its way to an 8-1 win over The Citadel on Saturday afternoon. In what is quickly becoming the norm this season, UNLV baseball tied the game in the ninth and then won it in the 10th on a Mike Cruz single, giving the Rebels an 8-7 win against the Bulldogs in the final game of the series on Sunday. Trailing 8-7 heading into the ninth inning, Chris Bonnell hit a sacrifice fly to right field that scored CJ Lang, tying the score at eight after the Bulldogs had grabbed an 8-7 lead of their own in the top half of the frame.
