UNLV won two of three games against Utah this past weekend in Salt Lake City at Franklin Covey Stadium. Following a 7-5 loss on Friday evening, the Rebels regrouped to win the final two games of the set. It took a little while for UNLV's offense to get going, but once it did the Rebels scored runs in bunches, beating the Utes 12-5 on Saturday afternoon. The Rebels scored a pair of runs in the fourth and then three more in the fifth for a 5-0 lead and then closed the game by scoring seven runs over the final three innings to collect the win. Chad Miller led the UNLV offense, going 3-4 with a home run and five RBI. UNLV starter Kevin Skogley (2-6) benefited from the offense but the lefty didn't need all the support, as he allowed just two runs, one earned, over seven innings of work to earn the win. UNLV baseball put together one of its most complete games of the year, beating Utah 9-2 on Sunday in the final of the three-game set.The Rebels used 11 hits to score their runs, saw their pitching staff allow just two runs on seven hits and UNLV's defense did not commit an error on the afternoon.
