LAS VEGAS - Individual tickets to all six of UNLV's 2006 home football games go on sale Monday morning (July 17) as part of the athletics department's new "Make Us Your Team" campaign.
The Rebels' home schedule, which includes six opponents for the first time in three seasons, begins Saturday, Sept. 2 vs. Idaho State at Sam Boyd Stadium.
Tickets are $15 in the end zone and $28 on the sidelines for all but one game as prices for the Battle for the Fremont Cannon vs. Nevada, Reno are set for $17 and $32.
In a push to continue to grow its fan base, UNLV kicks off a marketing campaign that includes a new slogan and unique identifying mark. The slogan "Make Us Your Team" will be used for all UNLV intercollegiate sports and the logo will be a mainstay on advertising and promotional materials throughout the year.
Keeping in mind the steady influx of new residents to the Las Vegas Valley, the department is using an approach that appeals to those who may have other alma maters and allegiances, but who are nonetheless drawn to collegiate athletics. "Make Us Your Team" invites current Rebel fans as well as new residents to make UNLV - the only NCAA Division I school in the area - their team.
"Make Us Your Team" will now appear through television, radio and print advertisements after making its first appearance on the 2006 UNLV Football schedule cards and schedule poster.
In addition to single-game tickets, fans can take advantage of various other programs for the 2006 Rebel football season:
SEASON TICKETS Season tickets are still available for $80 in the end zone and $155 on the sidelines (Rebel Athletic Fund donation is required for certain seating areas). There is a discount available for UNLV faculty and staff and the Athletics Department is now offering a two-for-one special for end-zone season tickets to any 2006 UNLV graduates.
REBEL FUN PACKS Also available are Rebel Fun Packs, which feature four tickets, four hot dogs, four small popcorns and four small sodas all for just $48.
GROUP RATES Group ticket rates to all six individual games are also now available by calling Carl Evans at (702) 895-2797.
TAILGATING Fans interested in tailgating can reserve their spots by calling Bobby Olson at (702) 895-3781. Tailgating spaces are available for purchase on a seasonal or game-by-game basis. All proceeds go to support Rebel Kids Corner, which allows underprivileged children the opportunity to attend UNLV athletic events.
