LAS VEGAS - UNLV volleyball head coach Allison Keeley was a guest speaker on July 13 in Arlington, Texas for the Texas Girls Coaches Association. Keeley was the featured Mountain West Conference speaker for Baden Volleyball.

Keeley presented a speech titled "Simple Volleyball" to over 500 high school coaches in attendance. The speech was presented in two sessions. The first part was based on offensive hitting, while the second focused on individual and team defense. After her speech there was a question and answer period.

"The talk addressed the way we teach skills at UNLV," noted Keeley. "The focus on fundamentals made the program particularly relevant to a high school coaching audience. The coaches asked a lot of questions after the program and I had the opportunity to tailor my responses to their unique teams and situations.

"It was an honor to speak to the Texas high school coaches, because they are so knowledgeable and well versed in the sport of volleyball. Texas has a rich history of supporting women's sports in general and especially women's/girl's volleyball."
