LAS VEGAS - The UNLV women's basketball team will have a program-high five regular-season games broadcast on TV, as the Mountain West Conference announced its 2006-07 women's basketball television schedule on Thursday.
A total of 32 games involving MWC teams will be shown this season, with seven games broadcast nationally by CSTV, and 25 games regionally by the Mountain West Sports Network (the mtn.). UNLV is slated to make two national appearances on CSTV, and three regional appearances on the mtn, and all five games are home contests.
The Lady Rebels' season opener against Pepperdine on Sunday, Nov. 12 at 2:30 pm will be the first televised game on the mtn. A second non-conference game will also be shown, against preseason top-25 DePaul on Thursday, Dec. 28 at 7 pm, also on the mtn.
UNLV will make its first appearance on CSTV in a conference game against Wyoming on Thursday, Jan. 11 at 7 pm. The final two televised games will be against Colorado State on Feb. 1 at 7 pm on the mtn., and the regular season home finale against New Mexico on Thursday, Mar. 1 at 7 pm on CSTV. The mtn will also broadcast the quarterfinals and semifinals of the 2007 MWC Tournament, with the championship game to be shown on CSTV.
