The UNLV women's basketball team continues its five-game season-opening homestand on Sunday afternoon against Loyola Marymount, their first meeting with the Lions since the 2003-04 season. Sunday's game will also be the second straight in the TMC for UNLV, after their season-opening 73-57 win over Long Beach State on Friday night. The game will tipoff at 3 pm in the Thomas & Mack Center.

UNLV showed off its new-look team with success against LBSU, as two newcomers joined the starting lineup, and both had impressive games. Junior Dominique Harris (a transfer from Gonzaga), finished with 13 points and seven rebounds, while junior Shannon Oberg also grabbed seven rebounds to go along with four points. They were part of a strong rebounding performance that saw UNLV outrebound the 49ers 52-31.
