Last weekend was a very interesting trip and it was apparent that it was a business trip up there. We played a really good Wyoming football team and we played tough and hard but not hard enough. We made a lot of stupid penalties that really hurt us in crucial times of the game. As a whole, we need to be smart and not let things that other players might say or do get in our head.
While in Wyoming we got to see the real country. There was a truck with two ATV's and two deer that had been hunted. It was kind of funny because my roommate in the hotel, Kamu Kapanui was excited to see it. It is not often a Hawaiian native sees something like that so that was cool.
We have a bye week this weekend and that is always nice to have. For the players that get a lot snaps in games and practice it's great to rest their bodies and prepare for our next game against SDSU.
This week will also be great because I get to go home and visit my family and have some great home-cooked Mexican food! You cannot beat, Sopes, frijoles de la hoya, tamales, tacos and everything. So I will make sure to fast this week and load up on the weekend.
As you can see I am a huge fan of food and this city offers a great array of food. I hope you guys have a great weekend and come out on Nov. 10 to watch us seniors play our last home game and support the Rebels!
