LAS VEGAS - The UNLV volleyball team will travel to four locales for their 2007 spring season. The Rebels will open play this weekend, Saturday, March 24, in Tucson, Ariz. UNLV will also make stops in Malibu, Calif., Houston, Texas and Northridge, Calif.
In Tucson, the Rebels have the opportunity to play some matches against teams from the Pac-10 (Arizona and Arizona State), Western Athletic Conference (New Mexico State), Conference USA (UTEP) and Mountain West Conference foe, New Mexico.
On Friday, April 6, UNLV will head to Malibu, Calif., to face the Waves of Pepperdine. The match will feature a head-to-head contest between sisters, as UNLV's Brittani Lumsden and Pepperdine's Rachel Lumsden square off.
The Rebels head to Texas for an April 14 tilt in the Texas Tornados Spring College Tournament. Joining UNLV in Houston will be USC, Texas A&M, Louisiana State, Oklahoma, Rice, Alabama, Baylor, New Mexico State, Louisiana Tech, Texas Tech, Stephen F. Austin, SMU, New Mexico, Houston, Wichita State, TCU, Lamar, UTEP, Tulane and North Texas.
UNLV concludes its spring slate with a stop in Northridge, Calif., at the Cal State Northridge Tournament on Saturday, April 28.
