Calling All Lady Rebel Fans

March 6, 2007

LAS VEGAS - The UNLV Athletic Department and head women's basketball coach Regina Miller are putting out the call for all Lady Rebel fans to come out and cheer on the team as UNLV takes on New Mexico in the Mountain West Conference Tournament on Wednesday afternoon game in the Thomas & Mack Center. Wednesday's game is a quarterfinal matchup that will begin at 2:30 pm, and is a rematch of last year's quarterfinal game, that was won by UNLV 57-45.

"We are calling out all the UNLV fans in Las Vegas, to come watch your Lady Rebels on Wednesday afternoon as we play in the Mountain West Tournament in its return to Las Vegas and the Thomas & Mack Center," said Miller. "We are hoping for a big crowd that will be loud and supportive, and to be our "sixth man" as we take on New Mexico in what should be a very competitive and exciting contest."

Tickets can be bought at the Thomas & Mack Center ticket window, by logging onto www.unlvtickets.com, or by calling 739-FANS (3267).

The Lady Rebels come into the game riding a four-game winning streak, tied for the longest in the conference. They are led by Las Vegas native Sequoia Holmes, who was named MWC Defensive Player of the Year and second team all-conference on Monday.
