LAS VEGS - The UNLV Rebel volleyball team traveled to Houston, Texas on Saturday, April 15, and left with the Silver Bracket Championship in the Texas Tornado Spring Tournament. The Rebels were one of more than 20 squads to head to the Lone Star State for some spring action.
The Rebels were placed into pool play with the Texas A&M and Louisiana Tech. UNLV suffered a loss to Texas A&M by a 2-0 margin (30-28, 30-27), but fought back for a 2-0 win (30-24, 30-27) over Louisiana Tech.
