UNLV Student Ticket Advance Pick-Up Procedure

Aug. 27, 2007

LAS VEGAS - The UNLV Athletics Department, in conjunction with CSUN and the Office of Student Affairs, has announced a new procedure for advance student ticket pickup for its upcoming football season.

UNLV students are encouraged to come to the Thomas & Mack Center Ticket Office in advance of the games to pickup a hard ticket in the student section. Tickets will be general admission in the student section and a maximum of 10 student tickets may be picked up by any full-time student. A valid full-time student ID (Rebel Card) must be presented for each student ticket requested.

In the past, students were admitted to Sam Boyd Stadium through the student entrance by showing a valid ID at the gate, which caused congestion and delays in getting into their seats. With advance ticket pickup, students will enter the stadium at Gate L with a hard ticket and their student ID, which will allow them to gain access in a much more orderly and rapid fashion.

Full-time UNLV undergraduate (minimum 12 credit hours) and full-time UNLV graduate (minimum nine credit hours) students receive one free ticket to each home game and may purchase one in the student section at half price for a guest. Half price for the Wisconsin game on Sept. 8 is $30, while half price for the Hawaii game on Sept. 15 is $8.50. Part-time students may purchase two tickets in the student section at half price.

Advance pickup is available at the Thomas & Mack Center Ticket Office during regular office hours, which are Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Wisconsin tickets may be picked up from August 29 - Sept. 5, while Hawaii game tickets may be picked up from Sept. 6-12.

"The new procedure for picking up tickets to UNLV games in advance will allow the students to get into the stadium in a more organized fashion and will also allow for quicker access to our seats," said Adriel Espinoza, UNLV CSUN Student Body President. "We were able to work with the athletics department in finding a more efficient model of ticket distribution to better serve the students."

Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis. Any remaining student tickets will be available at Sam Boyd Stadium on the day of the game.
