Rebels Ready For NCAAs

LAS VEGAS - Five Rebels will be representing UNLV at this week's 2008 NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships. This year's championship is being held from Thursday through Saturday at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Wash.

Senior Jonas Andersson will be swimming two events, and is ranked in the top 16 in both events coming into the championships, as he is seeded ninth in the 100 breast, and 14th in the 200 breast. Also swimming two events will be senior Johan Claar, who will be competing in the 1650 free, where he is ranked 25th, and in the 500 free, where he is ranked 31st.

Devin Phillips will also be swimming an individual event, as he will be competing in the 200 IM and is ranked 53rd coming into the week. Four Rebels, Claar, Phillips, Tamas Bosnyak and Calan Eldridge will also team up to swim in the 800 free relay, which is ranked 13th.
