LAS VEGAS - The UNLV football team will close spring practice by holding its traditional Spring Game on Friday at Sam Boyd Stadium.
The annual event is scheduled to run from 6:00-7:30 p.m. and is FREE and open to the public. Fans are invited to bring their pens and meet the team on the field for player autographs after the scrimmage while also enjoying a post-game barbecue dinner with the players and staff in the stadium's Club Seats level.
Prices for the Memphis Barbecue meal are $15 for adults and $12 for kids 12 and younger and for current UNLV students with valid I.D.
For fans who can not make it out to Sam Boyd Stadium, the Spring Game will be broadcast live on ESPN 1100 AM starting at 6 p.m. Announcers Dave McCann and Mike Pritchard will call the action and be joined in the booth by special guests.
Head coach Mike Sanford's team will open the 2008 season by hosting Utah State on Saturday, August 30 at 7 p.m. Season tickets are now on sale by calling (702) 739-FANS. Prices for the seven-game home package are $100 in the end zone and $185 for sideline seating.
