LAS VEGAS - UNLV placed 11 members of the men's swimming and diving team on the 2008 Spring Academic All-Mountain West Conference team. In addition, four more were named to the MWC Scholar-Athlete team.
To be eligible for selection to the Academic All-MWC team, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the school while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their team. To be eligible for selection as a MWC Scholar-Athlete, student-athletes must have completed at least two academic terms at the member institution, while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better, and have participated in varsity competition for their athletic team.
