LAS VEGAS - Students wanting to avoid waiting in lines at Rebel football games this season can take advantage of an early ticket pick-up system put in place by the UNLV Athletics Department.
Current students who have their valid Rebel Card can come to the Thomas & Mack Center Ticket Offices to pick up their football tickets each week instead of waiting to get them at Sam Boyd Stadium.
Full-time students are allowed to pick up one ticket at no-charge and can purchase a second ticket for half-price. Part-time students are eligible to purchase up to two tickets for half-price.
Tickets for this week's season-opener vs. Utah State can be picked up through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Those not using the early pick-up system can get their tickets at Sam Boyd Stadium's West Ticket Office beginning at 3 p.m. (kickoff is set for 7 p.m.).
Early student ticket pick-up can be done before each of seven total home games in 2008 from Monday-Friday 10-6 and Saturday 10-4.
Also, students needing transportation to and from Sam Boyd on game days can take advantage of RTC of Southern Nevada's Loop and Express Service for UNLV home games. Route 201B will provide express service to the stadium on game days from the Thomas & Mack Center's existing bus stops. Customers can be picked up in the Black 9 area of the TMC.
This week's loop and express service will run from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Call 228-RIDE for more information or click on the attached pdf.
