First Serve: The UNLV Rebels (7-14 overall, 4-8 Mountain West) return to Las Vegas for their final two home contests of 2009. The Rebels welcome the New Mexico Lobos (18-8, 9-5) and TCU Horned Frogs (23-5, 12-2) to town for matches on Thursday, Nov. 12 (7:00 pm) and Saturday, Nov. 14 (1:00 pm), respectively.

The UNLV-TCU will be tape-delayed by CBS College Sports and aired on Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 4:00 pm. Saturday's contest is also billed as "Senior Day", as UNLV's four seniors (Erin Greenwood, Samantha Noland, Samantha Richard and Jessica Walters) play their final home match as Rebels.

On The Sidelines: The Rebels hit the road to close out conference action next week with their annual "Rocky Mountain Excursion". UNLV will play at Wyoming on Thursday, Nov. 19 (7:00 pm MT/6:00 pm PT) before closing out MWC action at Colorado State on Saturday, Nov. 21 (1:00 pm MT/12:00 pm PT).

Scouting New Mexico: The New Mexico Lobos come to Las Vegas on a four-match winning streak and owners of an 18-8 overall record, while sitting in fourth place in MWC standings with a 9-5 mark. The Lobos have won 10 of their last 13. Coincidentally, one of UNM's three losses during its current run came at home to UNLV, on Oct. 17, in a 3-0 defeat.

Historically speaking, UNLV owns a 16-8 edge in the head-to-head series with UNM. The Rebels won the most recent meeting on Oct. 17, in Albuquerque, in 3-0 sweeping fashion. Since the 2003 season, UNLV has won nine of 11. UNM snapped an 8-0 run in the series by UNLV with a sweep of the season-series in 2008. The Lobos began the series with a 4-2 advantage before watching the Rebels rattle off 14 wins in 18 tries.

Scouting TCU: The TCU Horned Frogs come to Las Vegas riding an eight-match winning streak and an overall record of 23-5. The Horned Frogs sit second in the MWC with a 12-2 mark and trail Colorado State by one-half of a match. TCU began the season 2-2, but have since rattled off 21 wins in 24 tries dating back to Sept. 4. The eight-match winning streak matches one of equal length that occurred earlier in the season.

Historically speaking, UNLV owns an 8-3 edge in the head-to-head series with TCU dating back to 1998. The Horned Frogs have won the last two meetings, which includes a 3-0 victory, in Fort Worth, on Oct. 15. Prior to the two losses, UNLV had won seven in-a-row dating back to 2005. The teams initially split a two-game series in 1998 when both were members of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC).
