UNLV-Three Square Food Drive Flyer
LAS VEGAS - UNLV Athletics will hold food drives at three different home games in the month of November, with all the proceeds benefitting Three Square of Las Vegas to help fight hunger in Southern Nevada. ESPN Radio 1100 is also a partner in the food drives.
UNLV's football game on Saturday against Colorado State at 7:00 p.m. at Sam Boyd Stadium kicks off the food drive. Fans that bring three canned food items to the game will be admitted for just $5 in the end zone section (adults) and kids 16 and under will be admitted free in the end zone section with a donation of three canned food items.
The drive continues on Sunday, Nov. 15, as the women's basketball team hosts Nebraska at 2:00 p.m. at the Cox Pavilion. Fans that bring three canned food items to the game will be admitted for $1.
The drive concludes on Saturday, Nov. 21, when the men's basketball team hosts Southern Illinois at 7:00 p.m. at the Thomas & Mack Center. Fans that bring three canned food items to the game will receive a voucher for 2-for-1 balcony tickets to the Runnin' Rebels' game against Weber State on Dec. 17 at the Thomas & Mack Center.
"Three Square is a great organization that UNLV has worked with before," UNLV Interim Athletics Director Jerry Koloskie said. "They provide a much-needed service in our community by helping to get food to those who are hungry and we are happy to help in any way we can. We hope our fans will give to this worthy cause on their way to support our teams in November."
Three Square was established to end hunger in the Valley by providing wholesome, nutritious meals to non-profit organizations that serve a wide range of Southern Nevadans in need. Three Square is a community collaborative partnership with the gaming industry, businesses, non-profit agencies, food distributors, UNLV, the Clark County School District, governmental entities, the media and hundreds of volunteers to efficiently and effectively serve hope to the hungry.
