LAS VEGAS (AP) -Tre'Von Willis scored a game-high 21 points to lead UNLV over Colorado State 89-70 in a Mountain West Conference game on Saturday night.
Willis, who had 14 first-half points, went 8-of-12 from the field. He also had six assists and five rebounds.
Also for the Rebels (19-6, 7-4), Rene Rougeau added 14 points and six rebounds. Oscar Bellfield had 13 points and six assists, while teammate Joe Darger also had 13 points for the winners, who shot 33-of-61 (54 percent) from the field.
Marcus Walker led Colorado State (8-17, 3-8) with 18 points. Andy Ogide had 12 points and six rebounds, while Las Vegas native Andre MacFarland added 11 points for the Rams, who made 17-of-19 from the free-throw line for 90 percent.
The Rebels never trailed and shot 65 percent in the first half. UNLV led 51-34 at halftime after shooting 8-of-11 from 3-point range. They finished 11-of-22 (50 percent) from 3-point range.
The UNLV lead never got below 12 points in the second half.
