LAS VEGAS - The annual "Senior Night White Out" for UNLV men's basketball will be held Wednesday, March 4 at 7 p.m. as the Runnin' Rebels host Air Force in their final regular-season home game of the season at the Thomas & Mack Center.
The first 6,000 fans in attendance will receive a free "White Out" T-shirt, presented by the Las Vegas Review-Journal and sponsored in part by The Equity Group, Gamblers General Store, ESPN Radio 1100 AM, American Family Insurance, Bank of America, Pepsi, Sky High Marketing and KLAS Channel 8.
All fans are encouraged to wear white to the Senior Night game as a sign of support as UNLV bids farewell to its five Runnin' Rebel seniors - Wink Adams, Joe Darger, René Rougeau, Mareceo Rutledge and Rob Ketchum.
The pregame Senior Night ceremony is scheduled to begin at approximately 6:45 p.m. Fans are encouraged to arrive at the game early for the ceremony. Doors to the arena will open at 5:45 p.m. (15 minutes earlier than usual) in anticipation of an early-arriving crowd.
"Senior Night is always a special night, no matter the season," UNLV head coach Lon Kruger said. "However, this group of seniors is truly special. They have done a lot for this program. They have worked hard to lay a foundation for many years to come. We hope our fans come together to give them the recognition and support they deserve."
Tickets for the game start at $10 are available by calling (702) 739-FANS or by visiting UNLVtickets.com. Rebel Fun Packs are available for just $50 and include four balcony tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas.
The Runnin' Rebels are coming off a 75-74 win over BYU on Saturday night at the Thomas & Mack Center in front of their first sellout crowd since 1993 vs. Georgetown. Saturday night's attendance was 18,523. UNLV, now 20-7 overall on the season and 8-5 in Mountain West Conference play, will play at first-place Utah this Wednesday then have a week off before hosting Air Force.
