Lady Rebels To Play On TV Five Times

LAS VEGAS - 2009-10 Lady Rebel Schedule

The UNLV women's basketball team will have a program-high five nationally televised regular season games, as the Mountain West Conference has released its entire conference slate and broadcast schedule. The Lady Rebels will appear on the conference's network (The Mtn.) four times, and will have one contest on CBS College Sports.

The first televised contest will be on The Mtn., a non-conference battle in Las Vegas against national power North Carolina on Nov. 22. The next two televised games will be back-to-back league games midway through the conference schedule. UNLV will face Air Force in Colorado Springs, Colo., on Jan. 26, and Wyoming at home on Feb. 2, with both games on The Mtn.

The Lady Rebels' will have a third home game televised, a Feb. 13 contest against San Diego State on CBS College Sports. The final regular season televised game for UNLV will be at TCU on Feb. 23.

UNLV will open the 2009-10 season on Nov. 13 at Southern Utah, and has its home opener on Nov. 15 against Nebraska. The MWC opener will be against BYU on Jan. 6. This year's MWC Tournament will once again be in Las Vegas in the Thomas & Mack Center, from March 9-13.

The schedule has also been released for this year's Duel In The Desert tournament, which returns to Las Vegas after a one-year absence. For the first time, the tournament, which features eight teams and will be held on Dec. 19-21 in the Cox Pavilion, will be a three-day event, with the final day featuring games for seventh place, fifth place, third place, and the championship contest. The first round matchups will see Florida State play UT-San Antonio at 12 pm, Arkansas take on DePaul at 2:30 pm, the host UNLV Lady Rebels will meet VCU at 5 pm, and Hawaii and Kansas State play at 7:30 pm.
