LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV women's basketball team will be hosting "Rise 'N' Shine with the Lady Rebels" on Saturday, Oct. 30 in the Cox Pavilion beginning at 11 am. All Lady Rebel fans are invited to kick off the 2010-11 season with an insider's look at this year's squad, and the event is free.

Head coach Kathy Olivier, in her third year at UNLV, will host an open practice that will feature intra-squad scrimmages, while the UNLV cheerleaders will perform at breaks during the practice. The hour-long event will also include a continental breakfast for the first 100 fans, followed by a season preview and a Q&A session with the players and coaches. All Lady Rebel players will be available for autographs and poster giveaways, while fans are encouraged to bring their camera for photo opportunities upon the conclusion of the event.

I'm very excited about the opportunity for our fans and supporters to come and check out our 2010-11 Lady Rebel squad," said Olivier. "We've been practicing for a few weeks now, which has given us the chance to work our four newcomers into our system. The progress shown by our 11 returnees has also been impressive, and that has us looking forward to the start of the season on Nov. 12, and we hope the fans coming out next week for Rise 'N' Shine will be just as excited."
