Second Round Individual Results l Second Round Team Standings
LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV women's golf team closed action in the second round of the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown with a 4-over par 292 today, putting them in a tie with No. 25 Oregon for ninth place heading into tomorrow's final round.
Arkansas remains atop the leader board and on pace to set a new tournament mark for low team score. The Razorbacks will head into the final day with an 18-shot lead over second place Arizona. Both teams show 12-under in the second round. Kent State is in third after shooting an 11-under par round as a team while Louisville is one shot behind the Golden Flashes in fourth place.
Senior Therese Koelbaek jumped nine spots up the leader board after turning in the third lowest round of the day at 67. Koelbaek's season-low, 5-under par effort brings her into a tie for fifth heading into the final day. Koelbaek has posted three consecutive top-3 finishes this fall and recently claimed a top-20 finish at the World Amateur Team Championship.
Ellis Keenan carded a 2-over par 74 while Katerina Prorokova followed one shot behind with a 3-over par 75. Rounding out the Rebel lineup on the day as Alejandra Guacaneme at 4-over par and Kristen Schelling at 7-over par.
Making a splash as an individual is Bethany Glassford. The junior Las Vegas native's 4-under par 68 bested her previous low round by three strokes. Heading into the third round on Wednesday, Glassford is tied for seventh at 3-under par.
Emily Tubert of Arkansas kept her distance from the rest of the field a day after setting the course record, carding a 4-under par 68 in the second round. Amber Littman (East Carolina) and Kelli Shean (Arkansas) head into the final day six strokes behind the leader at 6-under par.
Final round action will begin Wednesday morning with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
