FIRST SERVE: The UNLV Rebels return to Las Vegas this week after playing a pair of Mountain West Conference contests on the road last week. UNLV is no stranger to playing at home, as it hosted eight straight in the Cox Pavilion before playing recently playing at TCU (Sept. 30) and New Mexico (Oct. 2). The Rebels welcome the Wyoming Cowgirls and the #17 Colorado State Rams to town for Thursday night and Saturday afternoon contests, respectively.
UNLV and Wyoming will play in front of the TV cameras Thursday night with The Mtn.-The MountainWest Sports Network- broadcasting the match with first serve slated for 6:30 pm. This will be the Rebels second of four appearances on the small screen in 2010. The Mtn. can be found on DirecTV Ch. 616 and locally on Cox Digital Cable Ch. 334.
Saturday's matinee between UNLV and nationally-ranked Colorado State is scheduled for 1:00 pm.

ON THE SIDELINES: The UNLV Rebels will head back out on the road with a trip up I-15 to the Beehive State. UNLV will square off with the Utah Utes in Salt Lake City on Oct. 14. Two days later on Oct. 16, UNLV will play a BYU-TV televised contest against the BYU Cougars.Both matches are slated to begin at 7:00 pm MT/6:00 pm PT.
NOTE THE TIME CHANGE: Please take note of the time change for UNLV's upcoming home contest on Oct. 7. The Rebels host Wyoming Thursday night in a televised affair on The Mtn. First serve is scheduled for 6:30 pm.
REBEL REWIND: The UNLV Rebels went 0-2 in their road trip to the Southwest this past week. UNLV lost a tough four-set contest by a 3-1 margin to the TCU Horned Frogs last Thursday (Sept. 30) prior to a 3-0 defeat to the New Mexico Lobos this past Saturday (Oct. 2).
Sara Nehf and Makenzie Moea'i were the top-two offensive players for UNLV in the two-match span, as they compiled 25 and 22 kills, respectively. Nehf also contributed seven digs, while Moea'i added 16 digs, three assists, one ace and one assisted block.
Amanda Alles and Stephanie Thelen split the setting duties with the pair combining for 57 of the team's 78 assists. Alles led the squad with 49 for a 7.00 per-set average, while Thelen dished out 18 (6.00 ps).
Kela Lau Hee led a quartet of players with double digits in digs with her 30. Kelsey Keeler had 18 and was closely followed by Moea'i's 16. Alles rounded out the foursome with 11 of her own.
Amanda Alles led UNLV in assists with 50 after she tallied 25 in each victory. Alles also had five digs, four assisted blocks, four kills and one ace.
