LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - After conducting individual workouts the past few weeks, the UNLV Rebel softball team will take the field as a team on Oct. 12, for the start of fall practice. UNLV will host two weekends of tournament action against nearby two-year and four-year programs prior to its alumni game and family day.

The Rebels are scheduled to practice for two weeks before seeing action from someone other than themselves. On Oct. 22 and 23, UNLV welcomes the College of Southern Nevada (CSN) and Cerritos College to Eller Media Stadium for six games of round-robin action. Each team will play a total of four games. UNLV will kick off action on the 22nd against CSN at 11:45 am before ending the day with a 4:15 tilt with Cerritos. The Rebels will play back-to-back contests on the 23rd with Cerritos (11:15 am) and CSN (1:30 pm).

UNLV will host another two-day event on Oct. 29 and 30 with the likes of Cal Baptist University, Cypress College and Dixie State College. The first day of action features three games with Cal Baptist, Cypress and UNLV playing twice apiece. On Oct. 30, Dixie State will join the mix with each squad playing twice in a total of four games.

After two weeks of competition, UNLV will welcome back some familiar faces for its alumni game that will be played on Nov. 6.

Fall ball will then wrap up with its Family Day featuring an intrasquad game on Nov. 13.
