LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com)
- The UNLV fall World Series was settled today with Team Scarlett walking away with an 11-5 win over Team Black in the fourth game of the fall series.

The two teams split the first two games before finishing yesterday's Game 3 in a 2-2 tie, setting up today's winner-take-all finale at Wilson Stadium.

Despite Game 3's stellar pitching performances, today's game followed suit with the first two of the series, featuring bursts of offensive output from each team.

Team Black jumped out to an early 1-0 lead after the top of the first on Daniel Higa's RBI double that scored Trevor Kirk from second.

Scarlet answered back in the bottom half of the inning, platting two to grab the early lead at 2-1. Scott Dysinger walked and stole second before Marvin Campbell's double drove him in. Campbell then put his team on top 2-1, scoring on captain Richie Jimenez's RBI groundout to third.

Team Scarlet added one in the second to extend its lead to 3-1 before Team Black flashed the bats in the third, scoring three to regain the lead at 4-3, but it would be short lived as Scarlet would pour in four in the third and two in both the fourth and fifth innings to take a commanding 11-5 lead.

Freshman Rob Johnson finished the day 3-for-3 and was just a home runs shy of the cycle for Scarlet. The Las Vegas native also scored three times and had an RBI.

Team Black captain Hunter Beaty was 1-for-2 on the day with two walks and two runs scored.

The Rebels will be off until practice for the 2011 season beings in February.
