FIRST SERVE: The UNLV Rebels hit the road for the final time this week with a Friday night match against the Air Force Falcons at the USAF Academy in Colorado. The match is the final one for both UNLV and Air Force and set for a 7:00 pm MT (6:00 pm PT) first serve.
REBEL REWIND: The UNLV Rebels lost their only contest last week on the road in San Diego against the San Diego State Aztecs by a 3-0 margin.
Makenzie Moea'i registered a match-high 11 kills and also added four digs.
Madeline Westman pitched in nine kills and owned a match-high seven assisted blocks.
Sara Nehf had eight kills, seven digs and four assisted blocks, as well.
Kendra Glendenning and Amanda Alles split the setting duties, as they registered 16 and 11 assists, respectively. Glendenning also had seven digs, while Alles chipped in one kill and one assisted block.
Defensively, UNLV had four players register four or more digs in the match with Kela Lau Hee leading the way with nine. Nile Te'o, Glendenning and Nehf had seven apiece.
RECORD BOOK RAMBLINGS: The UNLV Rebels have seen the career and single-season record book welcome some of their current players into the fold with help from their play this season.
Career
~Kela Lau Hee ranks fifth overall in digs with 867 and needs 56 more to move into fourth.
~Amanda Alles sits sixth overall in assists with 1,008 and is the sixth to notch 1,000 or more in a career.
~Sara Nehf sits seventh overall in total attempts with 2,384 and needs three more to move into sixth.
~Sara Nehf sits eighth in overall kills with 861 and needs 20 more to move into seventh.
Single-Season
~Kela Lau Hee sits sixth overall in digs with 402 this season and needs 17 more to move into fifth. Lau Hee is only the third player to notch 400 or more in a single-season (Jada Walker four times, Camille Cunningham once).
~Madeline Westman sits fourth overall in assisted blocks with 101 and needs 22 more to into third. Westman is only the fifth player to notch 100 or more in a single-season.
~Madeline Westman sits seventh overall in total blocks with 117 and needs seven more to move into sixth.
~Candice Thomas sits tied for seventh overall in solo blocks with 20 and needs nine more to move into sixth.
SENIOR SEND OFF: Four UNLV Rebels will be playing in their final match of their careers when they take the court against Air Force Friday night. Kelsey Keeler, Kela Lau Hee, Jeralynn Makaiwi and Sara Nehf have spent four years in the program. All four were freshmen in 2007 when UNLV won its first conference tournament championship en route to making its first NCAA Tournament appearance. The quartet played its final home match against Utah (Nov. 13) and won in dramatic five-set fashion.
