LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV Life Skills Department recently hosted an informative event as a tribute to Lindsay Bennett, a former Rebel Girl who died tragically in a alcohol-related car accident.

The tribute event promoted the well-being and development of our student-athletes in the area of alcohol and substance use and abuse. Over 300 UNLV student-athletes were in attendance earlier this month, to hear Michael Green, President and founder of Collegiate Consultants and Michael Bennett, Lindsay’s father.

Green shared his experiences and frank conversations about alcohol and abuse. It is the hope that the unintended consequence of an untimely death, such as that experience by the Bennett family due to a drunk driver’s poor decisions, will be avoided for others in the future.

The event also coincided with the Lindsay Bennett Kickoff, hosted by the Bennett family.
