Rebels Climb After Day Two

- The UNLV women's golf team climbed two spots following the completion of its second round at the Battle at Rancho Bernardo here in San Diego.

Senior Therese Koelbaek enters the final round in second place, just one shot off the lead after her 2-under par performance. Koelbaek played each side at 1-under and totaled four birdies on the day to just two bogies.

Seventh-ranked Purdue holds a seven shot lead over No. 1 Southern California in the team standings with one round left to play. No. 3 UCLA stands in third at 21-over par while No. 18 UC Davis is in fourth (+25), No. 8 Arizona in fifth (+29) and UNLV in sixth (+31).

Ellis Keenan shot a second round 79 and stands in a tie for 36th at 10-over par while Alejandra Guacaneme's 5-over par round of 77 saw her climb 15 spots up the leader board. Bethany Glassford also turned in a 5-over par, 77 performance in round two for the Rebels.

The Rebels will conclude action tomorrow morning with tee times starting at 8 a.m. at the Rancho Bernardo Inn Championship Golf Course.
