Rebels to Host No. 11 UC Irvina

UC Irvine Game NotesLAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV baseball team will play host to 11th-ranked UC Irvine Wednesday night at Wilson Stadium, marking the end of a four-game home stand before resuming conference play this weekend on the road.

The Rebels are coming off a 1-2 weekend against No. 9 TCU and will be facing a ranked opponent for the sixth time this season. UNLV is 2-3 against teams ranked among the nation's top 25 this year with a 9-7 win over Arizona on March 9 and a 5-4 win over the Horned Frogs in last Friday's Mountain West Conference season opener at Wilson Stadium.

Freshman Buddy Borden (0-0) will get the start for UNLV while Kyle Hooper (2-0) will take the hill for the Anteaters who are 14-2 on the year and have won seven of their last eight games heading into tonight's matchup.

First pitch is slated for 6:05 p.m. at Wilson Stadium.
