Public Invited To Saturday's Sale

March 30, 2011

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - For only the second time in history, fans will get the chance to purchase authentic new and game-used UNLV athletic apparel as part of the department's Get Your Reb On Apparel Sale this Saturday (April 2).

The public is invited to the North Gym inside the Paul McDermott Physical Education complex on campus from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. that day when hundreds of items will be for sale at prices ranging from $1 to $50.

Brands available include Nike, Russell and Adidas for official men's and women's team apparel such as game uniforms, jerseys, warm-ups, coaching shirts and athletic shoes as well as other items.

"We had a tremendous response when we did this the first time a couple of years ago," said UNLV Deputy Director of Athletics Jerry Koloskie. "Offering these items for sale to the public is a great opportunity for Rebel fans to get some authentic gear from their favorite teams at very low prices."

Cash and major credit cards will be accepted and all proceeds benefit the UNLV Athletics Department.

The North Gym is located adjacent to Rebel Park, which is located between the Earl E. Wilson Baseball Stadium and Lied Athletic Complex, which are near the intersection of Paradise and Harmon. Free parking is available in front of McDermott as well as at the baseball and tennis stadiums.

The sale is centered around the UNLV football team's annual spring scrimmage, which is a free event running from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Rebel Park. A free post-scrimmage youth football clinic (kids ages 6-12) will then take place from approximately 11:30-noon at Rebel Park.
