2011 Camp Information
The Lady Rebels are excited to announce their 2011 summer basketball camp schedule. First up will be the Elite Camp on June 23, while the Team Camp will be June 24-26, followed by the Individual Day Camp June 27-30. All three camps will be held on the UNLV campus under the direction of head coach Kathy Olivier.
This will be the first year the Rebels are hosting an Elite Camp. This one-day event is a great opportunity for the advanced player between grades 9-12 who is looking to play basketball at the next level. It will feature intense competition, college-style drills, while emphasis will be placed on individual instruction. For only $75, campers can participate in our Elite Camp from 1:00-8:00 pm.
The Lady Rebel Team Camp is open to all high school varsity, junior varsity and club basketball teams. Last year we featured over 50 of the best teams on the West Coast, and look forward to expanding the size of camp this year. The goal of the camp is to provide teams the opportunity to meet and play against the best competition, while also providing a valuable learning and competitive experience.
All teams are guaranteed five games and will participate in team-building exercises, demonstrations and lectures on various topics related to individual athletic and academic success. The camp will provide experienced and qualified referees for every game. High School coaches are allowed to coach their own teams, and each team must have an adult coach to register their team. Each team is responsible for their own meals and lodging, although we do have two host hotels available for a discount: Hyatt Place and Sunset Station. For more information on host hotels, please check out the link below. Cost for the team camp will be $500 per team, or $900 for two teams.
The Rebel Day Camp is a four-day camp providing the opportunity to develop ones individual basketball fundamentals while working hand-in-hand with the UNLV Women's Basketball coaching staff and players. The camp will teach fundamentals and enhance skill development through a series of instructional situations and games. This camp will feature daily contests and instruction, along with a free UNLV hoops t-shirt for every camper. The camp will run from 9 am - 3 pm daily, and is for those in grades 2nd-12th . The cost is $250.
