Rebels Enter Final Round in Fourth

Team Standings After Round 2 l Individual Standings After Round 2 l Final Round Tee TimesLAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV women's golf team continued action at the 2011 UNLV Spring Invitational, carding a team score of 10-over par, 298 on the day to remain in fourth place.

Pepperdine leads BYU by two strokes entering the final day, due in part to a team score of 10-under par for the day. Oklahoma sits in third at 2-under par with the Rebels in fourth at 18-over par and North Texas one shot behind in fifth place.

Senior Therese Koelbaek recovered from a 3-over 39 on the front nine to shoot 2-under on the back, finishing the day at 1-over par and standing in a tie for ninth overall at -1 under.

Freshman Katerina Prorokova is tied for 15th after shooting a 2-over par round of 74. Prorokova continues to take advantage of the lengthy par 5's, with three of her five birdies over the first two days coming on those holes.

Also shooting 2-over par for the day was Alejandra Guacaneme. Guacaneme bogeyed the par-5 first and took a double bogey on the fourth, but managed to birdies on the front nine to make the turn with a 38. After bogeying the par-5 13th, she got back to even par on the back nine with a birdie on 15.

Kelsey Vines of BYU holds a four stroke lead over three players entering the final day. Kaitlin Drolson (Pepperdine), Danielle Kang (Pepperdine) and Kayla Mortellaro (Idaho) all stand tied for second at 4-under par.

Wednesday's final round is slated for a 7:30 a.m. start time at Boulder Creek Golf Club.
