LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The annual Battle for the Fremont Cannon football game between UNLV and Nevada, Reno on Oct. 8 will start three hours later than previously announced, the schools announced Friday.

Kickoff at Reno's Mackay Stadium will now be at 4:05 p.m. PT. Possible television details of the game are still to be announced. The meeting will be the final one before the Wolf Pack joins the Rebels as members of the Mountain West in 2012.

UNLV opens its 2011 season on Thursday with a trip to Wisconsin. That game will begin at 5 p.m. PT and be shown live on ESPN HD, ESPN 3D and ESPN 3.

The Rebels' home opener is set for Sept. 17 vs. Hawaii at 7 p.m. PT. Season and single-game tickets are on sale now by calling 739-FANS (3267) or logging on to unlvtickets.com.
