Wyoming Postgame Quotes

Dave Christensen Opening Statement:

"Did the Wyoming offense come out in the second half? I didn't see them."

On today's game being similar to last week's against New Mexico:

"We tried to run a little bit more in the second half, and then we got behind the sticks some. Obviously, I'm disappointed. The one point in time when we needed a run, Brandon (Miller) broke free, and the one time in the game we blocked everybody right. For the life of me, I don't know why it took so long because they didn't change or do anything differently. We had some issues with that - blocking and running the football. Obviously, we can throw the football."

On defense making stands after giving up some big plays:

"First of all, they didn't give up the first touchdown. That was on the offense. We let a guy go through and block a kick, which is an embarrassment in itself. I thought our defense played extremely well today. They did a nice job, and at the end, making the plays to win the football game."

On Marqueston Huff's play of stripping Caleb Herring of the ball on a possible touchdown:

"He's got a big smile, he's happy as all get-out. That's why we practice the way we do. That's why we finish every single play in practice and every single drill. You never know when the play is going to be made to win the football game. Then again, as I told these guys, there are two teams with equal opportunities to win that football game. At the end, our guys made the plays to win the game."

On Brett Smith's play:

"He keeps getting better, which is good. We want to continue to bring our passing game along. The great news is the majority of the passing game is back next year. We'll have to look at some things in the off-season and certainly, find ways to be more efficient running the football - particularly at the end of a game when you to go to run the football to run it (clock) out. We just haven't had the guys to that at this point in time, but we'll look at that after next weekend."
