Three members of the UNLV men's soccer program recently visited Clyde C. Cox Elementary in Las Vegas to help the school celebrate its World Cup Academy program.
Head coach Rich Ryerson and players Julian Portugal and Jose Mendoza met with third, fourth and fifth grade students that were part of the school's program to help improve academics. Ryerson and the players talked to the students about good study habits, the importance of staying in school and the importance of working hard in their classes to help them one day reach college.
The players showed off a few soccer skills for the players, and also gave several students the chance to play with them as well.
