ELY, Nev. (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV football concluded its 10 day off-campus stint in Ely on Wednesday following a final scrimmage in coo and sunny conditions at Broadbent Park.
The Rebels held their final session at8 a.m. The conditions were perfect as the Rebels were on the field for nearly two hours. Coach Bobby Hauck's squad started with special teams before moving into team drills. Each quarterback saw some action during the scrimmage, but like the first scrimmage on Saturday, the defense stole the spotlight as they held the offense at bay.
"It was a great camp up here in Ely," Hauck said. "It was tough camp, but we got a lot of work done. I think we are coming out of here a better football team."
It was all work for the players while in Ely, but they were able to enjoy the football activities as well as bonding with each other.
"It was fun being up here being with the teammates," junior running back Tim Cornett said. "It is 24-7 football up here and we got a chance to build more team chemistry and that is always good."
After the scrimmage, the Rebels packed a quick lunch before hitting the road back to Las Vegas. The team returned in the afternoon after 11 days away from home.
The preparation for next Thursday's season-opener against Minnesota continues as the Rebels will hold a full practice tomorrow at 7 p.m., which is open to the public.

Prices are $40 on the sidelines, $25 in the end zone and $19 in the Value Zone for six of the seven games. There is special pricing for the Battle for the Fremont Cannon vs. Nevada, Reno on Oct. 13 ($50/$30/$25). Additional fees may apply.
Season tickets for 2012 cost $215 on the sidelines (additional RAF donation required in certain areas) and $115 in the end zone. A limited number of Value Zone Season Tickets are available in the North end of Sam Boyd Stadium for just $90.
There is also a special "4-for-3" season ticket offer in the Value Zone for new season ticket purchasers allowing a fan to purchase four Value Zone Season Tickets for the price of three ($270). This is a limited time offer, while supplies last.
