Joining him there will be senior Tamas Batyi, who swept Utah State's Curran Wearmouth, 6-2, 6-2, and then got by Weber State's Jakub Gewert, 7-5, 6-4.
In doubles, Gilad Berman and Jeff Vongman downed Montana's Zach Drost and Ethan Vaughn 8-5 in the first round while fourth-seeded Ace Matias and Denys Pume received a bye.
