UNLVRebels.com (LAS VEGAS) - The UNLV volleyball program had four student-athletes named to the Fall 2012 Academic All-Mountain West Team, including three repeat selections, the league announced. In all, UNLV had a total of 43 student-athletes named to the academic team - the most for the Scarlet & Gray since 2008 and second-most in school history.

The quartet of volleyball players on the list were Allison Davies (undeclared), Stephanie Thelen (communication studies), Madeline Westman (communication studies) and Katlin Winters (meetings and event management). Winters is a first-time honoree, while Westman (three times), Davies (twice) and Thelen (twice) have been tabbed multiple years.

To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while they maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their athletic team.
