Oct. 27, 2014 BOULDER CITY, Nev. (UNLVRebels.com) - No. 13 UNLV women's golf is third after the second round of the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown. The Rebels head into the final 12-strokes off the lead at 8-over-par 584 (289-295).
San Diego State leads the field at 4-under 572 (281-291) and UC Riverside is second at 6-over 582 (287-295). Indiana is fourth at 9-over 585 (295-290) and San Jose State rounds out the top-five at 13-over 589 (297-292).
Two Rebels are in the top-five on the individual scoreboard heading into the final round. Senior
Dana Finkelstein is fourth at 2-under 142 (69-73) and freshman
Harley Dubsky is fifth at 1-under 143 (74-69).
San Diego State's Haleigh Krause leads all individuals at 11-under 133 (65-68). UC Riverside's Brittani Ferraro and Svannah Vilaubi are second and third at 5-under 139 (70-69) and 3-under 141 (67-74), respectively.
Also competing for the Rebels is sophomore
Vivian Hsuan Chen, who is tied for 29th at 5-over 149 (72-77), senior
Mayko Chwen Wang is tied for 43rd at 7-over 151 (74-77) and
Mackenzie Raim is tied for 76th at 12-over 156 (80-76). Sophomore
Avery French and senior
Marguerite Swearingen are competing as individuals and French is tied for 29th at 5-over (75-74) while Swearingen is tied for 70th at 11-over 155 (75-80).
for 41st at 3-over 75.
The 18 teams and 96 individuals will continue with the third round on Tuesday. The final round will begin with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. PT.
