The UNLV men's soccer team will be looking to extend its win streak to four when it hosts the Johann Memorial Classic this weekend, with a Friday contest against IPFW at 7 pm and a Sunday afternoon meeting with Howard beginning at 1 pm.
Tickets are $8 for adults, while children 12 and under are always free to UNLV soccer games. A special note to all fans attending the contest, the parking lots at the soccer field are currently closed, fans should expect to park instead at the baseball lots and walk over to Johann Field.
All four games of the Johann Memorial Classic will have a live video stream and Gametracker available, which can be accessed at UNLVRebels.com.

All About The Rebels
The Rebels have their first 2-0 start to a season since 2008 after defeating Western Illinois (2-1 in overtime) and Bradley (4-3) on claim the Hotels at Grand Prairie Classic this past weekend in Peoria, Ill. The two wins in Illinois doubled the win total from a year ago for the Rebels in games away from Las Vegas. Now they come home to Peter Johann Memorial Field where they were 6-3 a year ago, which includes a 3-0 record in the final three home games of 2013.
UNLV comes into the weekend ranked No. 6 in the West region, its first ranking since 2008. The Rebels have scored six goals thus far, three thanks to hat trick from preseason all-conference senior forward Salvador Bernal, while Rodrigo Fuentes has one goal. Senior defenders Connor Coletti and Kyle Mellies have the two game-winning scores for UNLV this far this season.
In goal is the preseason WAC Defensive Player of the Year Ryan Harding. He led the league a year ago in GAA, and currently holds a 1.98 GAA and has seven saves in 181:57 minutes of action..
Scouting IPFW
The Mastodons bring a 1-1 record into this weekend's tournament, as IPFW posted a 6-0 win over Division II St. Joseph's (Ind.) on Aug. 29, and followed that with a 2-2 tie against Western Michigan on Aug. 31, with both games in Fort Wayne. Eight players have all scored once for IPFW this season, while Raphael Kotzock has seen the majority of time in goal, and has a 1.16 GAA.
Scouting Howard
The Bison have struggled in the first week of the season, having been outscored by a 12-1 margin through three games (7-0 loss to George Mason, 4-1 vs. George Washington, 1-0 to Loyola). Austin Williams has the lone goal of the year for Howard. In goal is Eric Hamilton, who has a 4.00 GAA and is averaging four saves per contest.
Next Time Out
The Rebels will host a second straight tournament next weekend, this time the UNLV Nike Invitational. UNLV will face top-20 UMBC on Friday, Sept. 12 at 7 pm, and follow that with a Sunday, Sept. 14 game against Detroit at 1 pm. Both games will be at Peter Johann Memorial Field.
