RENO, Nev. (AP) - Christian Wood scored 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds Tuesday for his 11th double-double and UNLV beat Nevada, Reno 67-62, snapping a three-game losing streak to the Wolf Pack.
Goodluck Okonoboh scored 13 points off the bench on 6-of-7 shooting and blocked five shots for UNLV (12-9, 3-5 Mountain West) and Rashad Vaughn added 10 points.
Wood's biggest points came late on a 3-pointer giving UNLV a 60-56 lead with 1:39 left. Wood opened the game with four straight points and UNLV led 33-26 at halftime.
Nevada, Reno rallied to lead 56-55 with 3:01 left, but Okonoboh hit a layup and a 3 to spark a 10-2 run and the Wolf Pack pulled away.
Forward A.J. West led Nevada, Reno (6-13, 2-5) with 15 points and 15 rebounds, his eighth double-double of the season.
It's Nevada, Reno's fifth straight loss since beating UNLV on a go-ahead jumper with less than five seconds on Jan. 10 in Las Vegas.
