No. 22 UNLV women's golf moved up to sixth place after day two of the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown at 17-under-par 559 (281-278) at the par-72, 6,277 yard Boulder Creek Country Club on Monday.
No. 49 San Jose State leads the field for a second consecutive day with 26-under 550 (275-275). No. 55 Michigan is four strokes behind at 22-under 554 (275-279), and No. 39 Vanderbilt tied San Jose State for the best round of the day to move up to third place with a 21-under 555 (280-275). No. 13 Tennessee (281-277) and No. 21 San Diego State (280-278) are tied for fourth, one stroke ahead of the Rebels.
San Jose State's My Leander leads all individuals for the second straight day at 12-under 132 (65-67), and Anna Newell of Tennessee (68-65) trails by one stroke in second place. Freshman Kaylee Benton has the lowest score for the Rebels with a 6-under 138 (68-70) for 17th place, and sophomore Mackenzie Raim (71-68) is one stroke behind Benton to tie for 20th place.
Sophomore Harley Dubsky is tied for 31st place with a 3-under 141 (70-71), and freshman Shannon Oh (68-74) is one stroke behind Dubsky to sit in a tie for 38th. Junior Alexandra Kaui (74-69) and freshman Elizabeth Prior (72-71) are tied for 44th place at 1-under 143. Junior Vivian Hsuan Chen has posted a score of even-par 144 (72-72) after two days, and Texie June Petchel has a score of 2-over 146 (72-74). Freshman Alyssa Getty notched a score of 4-over 148 (73-75) after two rounds.
