Rebels On The Road As Regular Season Nears End

Oct. 29, 2015

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - Following its final homestand of the season, in which UNLV men's soccer played a pair of thrilling games against the top two teams in the conference, the Rebels now take to the road with a potential first round tournament bye in their sight. First up will be a Friday night contest at UMKC at 5 pm (PT), and that's followed by a Sunday, 12 pm (PT) game at Air Force in Colorado Springs, Colo.

There will be a live webstream for both games, as Friday's UMKC game will be on the WAC Digital Network, while Sunday's game at Air Force d is on the Mountain West Network. Fans can access both games online, and they watch the broadcast on their TV as well through the Roku digital media set top box streaming video box on the WAC Live channel for Friday's game, or through the Livestream channel for the MWN contest on Sunday.
UNLV (10-4-1, 4-2-1 WAC) at UMKC (4-8-2, 2-4-1 WAC)
Friday, Oct. 30 - 5 pm (PT) - Kansas City, Mo. (Durwood Stadium)
UNLV (10-4-1, 4-2-1 WAC) at Air Force (5-8-1, 2-4-1 WAC)
Sunday, Nov. 1 - 12 pm (PT) - Colorado Springs, Colo. (Cadet Soccer Stadium)
Thanks to its overtime win over Utah Valley on Oct. 25, the Rebels and the Wolverines now have the same number of losses and ties, which means if UNLV wins out they will clinch at least second place in the regular season.

For the Rebels to win out, they will have to win three straight games on the road, beginning with this weekend's trip to UMKC, the site of next month's WAC Tournament, and Air Force on Sunday. Friday is just as important a game for UMKC, as the Kangaroos are currently two spots out of the final tournament spot and need to win at least twice in their final three games to clinch a top-six finish among eligible teams.
Air Force is in the same boat as UMKC, as both teams have seven points coming into the weekend and that leaves the Falcons just as determined to come away with a home victory.
