Game Notes vs. New Mexico Highlands | 2015-16 Media Guide

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - Coming off a win in its season opener, 74-72 over Cal Poly on Friday, Nov. 13, the UNLV men's basketball team will resume its 2015-16 regular season with a home contest against New Mexico Highlands on Monday, Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. at the Thomas & Mack Center.

NMHU (1-1), which is located in Las Vegas, N.M., will be making its second trip to Las Vegas, Nev. to face UNLV and first since 1966.

In the victory over Cal Poly, sophomore Patrick McCaw came off the bench to lead the Runnin' Rebels in scoring with 15 points. McCaw also finished with four assists, four rebounds and two steals in 29 minutes. Stephen Zimmerman Jr. finished with 12 points, nine rebounds and three blocks in the game. Jerome Seagears also finished in double figures with 11 points and finished the game with a team-high five assists.

In the exhibition game win over Whittier, freshman Derrick Jones Jr. scored 20 points on 7 of 10 from the field and freshman Stephen Zimmerman Jr. added a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Seniors Ike Nwamu and Jerome Seagears also scored in double figures with 12 and 11 points, respectively, while Seagears had a game-high seven assists.

Monday's game will have no television coverage, however a live Mountain West Network video stream will be available for free at UNLVRebels.com with Tony Cordasco and Keith Starr calling the action. Jon Sandler and Robert Smith will handle the radio call, which may be heard live on ESPN Radio 1100 AM/100.9 FM. All internet links along with live stats will be available at UNLVRebels.com.
