LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV men's basketball will close out its season-opening three-game homestand on Wednesday, Nov. 18 at 7:30 p.m. as the Runnin' Rebels host the Southern Utah Thunderbirds at the Thomas & Mack Center.

SUU (0-1), who will travel 177 miles south on the I-15 for the game, has played one contest this season. The Thunderbirds lost to Utah in their season opener, 82-71, in Salt Lake City.

On Monday, UNLV (2-0) cruised to a 107-45 win over New Mexico Highlands. Jaylen Poyser led the way with 16 points and Stephen Zimmerman Jr. added a double-double, finishing with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Derrick Jones Jr. (14), Ike Nwamu (12), Jerome Seagears (12) and Patrick McCaw (11) all finished the game in double digits.

In the season-opening victory over Cal Poly on Nov. 13, McCaw came off the bench to lead the Runnin' Rebels in scoring with 15 points. He also finished with four assists, four rebounds and two steals in 29 minutes. Stephen Zimmerman Jr. finished with 12 points, nine rebounds and three blocks in the game. Jerome Seagears also finished in double figures with 11 points and finished the game with a team-high five assists.

Wednesday's game will have no television coverage, however a live Mountain West Network powered by CampusInsiders.com video stream will be available for free at UNLVRebels.com with Ari Wolfe and Blaine Fowler calling the action.
