Nov. 6, 2015 LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV baseball program will hold its annual Alumni Game Saturday morning at Earl E. Wilson Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 10:00 am. Fans are encouraged to attend and admission is free of charge.
The Alumni Game is an opportunity for the program to welcome back those that once wore the Scarlet & Gray for a friendly seven-inning competition and gives the current roster a chance to square off against someone other than itself. Outside of intrasquad scrimmages, this year’s edition has already hosted the Utah Utes as well as held its Scarlet & Gray World Series, which was won by the Scarlet 3-0.
Batting practice for the alumni is scheduled for 9:00 pm and will last 30 minutes.
The 2016 campaign kicks off in the Lone Star State against the Texas Longhorns in a three-game series slated for Feb. 19-21 at UFCU Disch-Falk Field. The Rebels return to Las Vegas for seven straight beginning with four against the West Virginia Mountaineers (Feb. 26-29) and three more versus the San Jose State Spartans (March 4-6).
