March 25, 2015 RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. (UNLVRebels.com) - The No. 14 UNLV women's golf team finished sixth at the 2015 SDSU Farms Invitational, which was being held at the par-72, 6,199-yard, The Farms Golf Club, after falling to top-seeded Oklahoma State on Wednesday.
The Rebels, who were the No. 3 seed at the 16-team match-play format event, lost 3-2 to the Cowboys in the fourth and final round.
OSU's Maddie McCrary defeated
Mayko Chwen Wang (9 and 8), Linnea Johannson beat
Mackenzie Raim (6 and 5) and Kenzie Neisen claimed a victory over
Dana Finkelstein (2 and 1). UNLV's wins came from
Avery French and
Harley Dubsky. French beat Isabella Deilert (2 and 1), while Dubsky beat Emma Bronze (3 and 2).
Tennessee won the tournament by defeating Colorado 4-1 in the final round. SDSU finished third while Arizona State and Oklahoma State finished fourth and fifth, respectively.
The Rebels will have a few weeks off before playing in their final tournament of the regular season. UNLV will play in the PING/ASU Invitational April 10-12 in Tempe, Ariz. before the Mountain West Championship, which will be played in Palm Springs, Calif., April 20-22.
